DDR5 RAM just got that little bit faster. What you need to know G.SKILL announced a 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM kit with a latency rating of CL30. This new kit marks a major step in making DDR5 a more appealing upgrade for new PC builds. No word on pricing, but availability will hit Q2 2022. DDR5 memory has enjoyed a similar launch to DDR4 in that the earliest kits that manufacturers have released to the market aren`t that much faster than existing DDR4 counterparts. Clock speeds are considerably higher, but so too is latency, which is what results in more of an even playing field. Now we`re starting to see a glimpse of what`s to come as DDR5 matures.
